April 2nd – Malvinas Day (officially known as Day of the Veterans and Fallen of the Malvinas War)
The holiday is a tribute to Argentina's fallen soldiers in the Malvinas War, which began with the Argentine occupation of the islands on April 2, 1982. Six hundred and forty-nine Argentinians lost their lives during the seventy-four-day campaign.
